Finally Free!

This is a crucial time for Canadians.  We must get past the idea that oil sands are not good.  We sit around trying to do good for everyone even if it means we need to cut off our own arm.  Why is it that we try so hard to please others when Canada as a nation has so much to offer the world.  With our Energy and Mining Industries Canada has the potential to make ourselves better off in this world economy.  Looking around why would we wait for others to fix the problem and get the world back on track.  We need to focus on ourselves and our nation.

I would first start off saying that we are not perfect and once we can come to terms with that we can move forward.  The amount of negative impact that Canada has on the world is small, but does not mean we can forget it.  Improving or Energy Industry while balancing with environmental policies and initiatives we can proudly move Canada forward into being the leader in this industry.  With this focus on profitability and sustainability, why would we sell our product to the United States for less than other countries are willing to pay?  Have they done anything for us?  Well I guess we can give them the fact that they were strongly involved with the Global Economic crash of 2008 which was quickly forgotten about.  If I am selling a good, no matter what it is, and I have 2 potential purchasers both with long-term agreements and one is willing to pay me $1.00 for each unit and the other is willing to pay $5.00 per unit, it is very self-evident which one should be chosen or is it?  There are other factors which we need to look  at but simply stated the U.S. has placed higher restrictions and tariffs on us as individuals and businesses.  So the real question is, how much do we really owe them because it seems that if the U.S. can take care of themselves they would not hesitate on cutting Canada off.  The latest policies from the U.S. have been implemented from the Obama party and that does not sit well with me as I feel Obama was a flash in the pan president and has not held much of any value to us as Canadians or more importantly to his own U.S. citizens.

We need to stand up and be proud of ourselves and what we have done so far but more importantly how we can move forward to offer all of us a better future in Canada.  With this I will add, for those elections coming up really look at your candidates and ask yourself how are they going to improve our lives not just my life in Canada.
